Workshop Description
Learn how to launch your landscape paintings like a pro! Enjoyable and successful plein air works stem from preparation, strong foundations, and confident, decisive, and stress-free starts. In this workshop, competition judge Kelly Schamberger will explain and demonstrate how to plan ahead, create effective routines, choose where and what to paint, and provide technical tips to move paintings forward thoughtfully. She’ll tackle the intimidation of a blank canvas, and share effective methods for staying in the moment in order to develop a sacred space for exploration, joy, beauty, and wonder while painting in the great outdoors. Participants will then intentionally apply these tips in a group paint following the presentation, with Schamberger making the rounds for guidance and feedback.
